Islamic Heritage Conference

In recent decades, there has been a growing interest among Muslims in re-discovering the rich Islamic heritage of countries. Central Asia (or Mawarannahr, as it was called in medieval times), was once home to flourishing centers of knowledge for the Islamic world. Muslim scholars contributed in the fields of science, humanities, medicine, astronomy, and more, greatly benefiting human progress. Esteemed Islamic scholars from around the world will lead panel sessions to discuss Uzbekistan's Islamic history and how to appropriately position religious sites for destination promotions.
